Japanese Senior Citizens join eSports pros - The Matagi Snipers challenge the young guns...

A group of Japanese senior citizens, ranging in age from 66 to 73, have proven that Esports is not just a “young man’s game”. The Matagi Snipers have become Japan’s first professional Esports team, but it begs the question of why it has taken so long for the original players of video games to enter the space? Are there more competitive gamers among the ranks of senior citizens who are looking for a community to join? Where can these older, avid fans of competitive gaming go for a social outlet?

OGLife is a SaaS platform with social impact advocacy for seasoned gamers aged 40 and above. OGLife offers a gaming and streaming platform that bridges generations and provides veteran gamers a social outlet to play video games both recreationally and competitively. We have Gil Bashan, the Chief Product Officer of StrongNode, the company that has incubated and powered the OGLife platform.
