Angry Birds Seasons (Christmas update) available now for iPhone and Android mobiles

Rovio has launched Angry Birds Seasons, a special edition spin-off of Angry Birds.

Initially launched in the App Store as Angry Birds Halloween, the game has been expanded with a brand new festive level pack Season’s Greedings.

Season’s Greedings consists of 25 daily surprises for fans of Angry Birds to enjoy while counting down the days until Christmas. Included in the game is also the 45-level Halloween special edition, now packaged as a separate episode called Trick Or Treat.

“We want to make it clear that Angry Birds really is the gift that keeps on giving,” says Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio. “We hope that we can bring many delightful seasonal installments to our fans everywhere.”

Angry Birds Seasons costs $0.99/£0.59/€0.79 to download for the iPhone or iPod touch, and Angry Birds Seasons HD $1.99/£1.19/€1.59 for the iPad. Customers who already purchased Angry Birds Halloween or Angry Birds Halloween HD will receive Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Seasons HD respectively via App Store update.

Angry Birds Seasons is also available for Android devices through GetJar and Android Market. The Android version is funded by advertising.

Angry Birds Seasons arrives in time to celebrate the first anniversary of Angry Birds. Rovio has declared December 11th Angry Birds Day, and invited fans around the world to gather together around Angry Birds themed activities. Hundreds of fans have already signed up for local events at meetup.angrybirds.com, with the London event leading the way with over 100 people.

Shipping of Angry Birds plush toys has started in the Rovio online store at shop.angrybirds.com, with more items added to the lineup for preorder and January delivery.
