Sega is planning to release an HD remaster of the first two Shenmue games

Currently the only way to play Shenmue 1 and 2 are on Dreamcast and the original Xbox.

Shenmue 2 was released in North America in 2002. Since E3 2015, plenty of gamers have become intrigued by the series, but playing the original games has been difficult because of limited availability. The HD Remaster would greatly serve the upcoming Shenmue 3 by helping gamers catch up on the story.

Resident Evil - Code Veronica heading for Nintendo Wii on March 12th?

resident evil code veronicaOn Thursday, March 12, Capcom will hold a launch event for Resident Evil 5 in San Francisco. And going by some strong evidence circulating the web, they'll also announce a new Resident Evil title for the Wii - and it just may be a port or remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica.

Speaking to Game Focus (via Kotaku), product manager Matt Dahlgren shot down a staff member's plea for a Code: Veronica release over XBLA or PSN, but still dropped a savory hint regarding the game: "Nothing is planned for the game regarding a remake on PSN/XBLA, but what I can say is if you are a fan of Code: Veronica you should pay attention in the next couple of weeks - there is some news you should be very pleased with. Tell him to pay attention on the 12th (March)."

The Rarest and Most Valuable Sega Dreamcast Games

There are two major trends you will notice in the list below. First of all is the dominance of fighting and shooting games, mostly of the 2D nature. GameTap SEGA Saturn and Dreamcast access for Mac Users

GameTap just announced that they have streamlined their new Cider technology which enables Mac users to access SEGA Saturn and Dreamcast titles. Fortunately, this will work for all broadband-enabled PC and Intel-based Macs that meet the memory requirements. I am a GameTap member and would highly recommend it to anyone.

There is also a new GameTap player that launches faster and discovers games considerably faster than before. This new player is what enables Mac users to access the classic SEGA Saturn and Dreamcast games. Some of the classic games include Panzer Dragoon and Crazy Taxi.

“The Mac is enjoying faster growth than any other computing system and the launch of the new

GameTap player enriches the Mac experience even further for that large audience,” said Vikas Gupta, CEO and President of TransGaming. “TransGaming and GameTap are committed to bringing the greatest games to the Mac, which has already included Myst Online: Uru Live, and we are pleased to continue this partnership that enhances the Mac gaming landscape.”

To play the latest titles, Gold level subscription plans are currently available for as low as $5.00 per month and new subscribers can get their first month for only 99 cents. Gamers can also visit GameTap.com to check out the selection of more than 50 free games which are updated each week.

Complete US Sega Dreamcast Collection

Once again, we have a complete Dreamcast collection up for grab. All 247 games are there and get this: it’s only up to $630.00 with less than 24 hours to go. Unless some big biggers come in, this one might go for a steal.

You will get every single Sega Dreamcast game that has been released in the US (that's 247 unique
games). These are all complete with cases and manuals. There are absolutely no stickers, writing, or tears on any of them. The cases also have no cracks whatsoever since I've replaced all the bad ones with brand new ones. These are all original black-label and white-label releases (no Sega All Stars budget versions).

Other software also included are a pair of Web Browser and Web Browser 2.0 (2 opened and 2 sealed), a Gameshark Lite (for cheat code and playing imported software), and a Generator 2 demo disc.

-HARDWARE-

Additionally, you will get the following hardware and accessories.

1 white Dreamcast console (complete) with av/power cables
1 black Sega Sports edition Dreamcast console with rf/power cables
6 official controllers (5 white, 1 Sega Sports black)
1 3rd party controller
1 light gun
8 official vmu memory cards (4 blue, 2 green, 2 red)
2 3rd party memory cards
1 official jump pack (complete)
2 3rd party jump packs
2 official microphones

Again, everything is tested and working as this is from my personal collection. This will make a GREAT gift for video game fans. You probably won't see an auction like this again so don't let it slip past you!
