In collaboration with leading mobile operator Zain Jordan, the International Mobile Gaming Awards has revealed that a total of 69 games have been selected to participate in its third competition in the Middle East and North Africa region. IMGA MENA, like similar IMGA programs in Southeast Asia and China, serves to showcase the creativity and innovation of a wide variety of developers and studios in the region. Winners of IMGA MENA will also be invited to compete in the Global IMGA awards to be held in March 2019. Gamers and fans alike are invited to vote for their favorite games from MENA creators in the People Choice’s Award competition at mena.imgawards.com.

This year’s nominees include games submitted by developers and studios based in 14 different countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Territories, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. This year, Jordan and Iran had the most entries, with a massive number of games submitted. Countries like the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Tunisia were also well represented in this contest.
The all-star judging panel is composed of international mobile gaming experts such as Stephanie Chan (YouTube), Christopher James (Steelmedia), Reine Abbas (Wixel Studios), Ivan Lobo (GameLab), MJ Fahmi (Babil Games), Christopher Kassulke (HandyGames), and more.
