Birmingham leg of Call of Duty World League at Insomnia 62

The UK’s biggest gaming festival set to welcome host of pro Call of Duty players.

Multiplay Events can today announce that it will be an official partner of the Call of Duty World League (CWL) 2018 season. The UK’s biggest gaming festival will welcome many of the world’s best Call of Duty players to the NEC for the Birmingham Open leg of the tournament, taking place during Easter Bank Holiday weekend next year.

Players entering the Birmingham Open will be competing on Activision’s latest Call of Duty title, Call of Duty: WWII, for US$200,000 in prize money and 209,200 CWL points.

The Open will form part of the line-up at Insomnia62, featuring alongside a huge celebration of all things gaming, including some of YouTube’s biggest stars, the cutting edge VR Zone and huge Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) Zone. With much more to be announced, the festival is on course to be the most spectacular Insomnia to date.

Sarah Whittaker, Head of Events at Multiplay Events, said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be hosting part of the CWL 2018 season at Insomnia62. Multiplay Events has a great track record of hosting heart-pounding gaming tournaments, including the finals of the UK Masters at Insomnia61 earlier this year. It’s fantastic that festival goers will experience the action of CWL at Insomnia62.”

Team tickets for the CWL Birmingham Open go on sale Friday 22nd December at 6pm and are available from www.insomniagamingfestival.com.

Insomnia62 will take place from Friday 30th March to Monday 2nd April 2018. Tickets are available now from www.insomniagamingfestival.com.
