Conceived in 2002 by Russian author and journalist Dmitry Glukhovsky, the Metro story has since become an international phenomenon. The novel trilogy inspired a trilogy of video games and spawned an 80-books wide project, where authors from across the world are joining Glukhovsky to write their own stories set in the same world. Woven together, their novels create the 'Universe of Metro 2033' franchise. And a newcomer can start his acquaintance with the saga from any of these books.
