Scotland’s first ever ‘Resonate – Total Gaming’ festival, taking place at the SECC, Glasgow from 29 – 31 July 2016


As Scotland’s newest gaming event, the festival will bring Scotland’s gaming community together under one roof, providing die-hard gamers with an opportunity to fuel their passion, while introducing newbies to the exciting and rewarding world of gaming.


Whether gaming is a new discovery, hobby, career or sport, Resonate should definitely be in the calendar. Here’s what visitors can expect:


Compete in gaming tournaments
Competitive gamers can now enter teams into Resonate Compete, the festival’s amateur tournaments that lets gamers battle their peers in a bid to become Resonate champions. Games include Counter Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends and Hearthstone. The tournament is open to existing teams or groups of mates who are up for showing their gaming skills in front of an audience of Resonate visitors. Finals will be held on the Resonate Main Stage!

All-aboard the Razer Gamerbus
The Razerbus, a double decker bus packed with modern consoles and PC gaming arenas, will bring the latest in Razers pro gaming equipment for PC and Xbox one. On board will be Overwatch: best of show players challenge using the Razer Arena, playing some of the latest Xbox one games.

Relax in the 18+ Powered by Unikrn area
Unikrn will be offering over 18s a unique sign- up voucher for some strictly 18+ fun, a chance to grab some great swag, share gaming tactics and have a drink in the dedicated Mezanninearea. In addition, Unikrn, one of the world’s leading eSports wagering companies, will be inviting an eSports professional to hang out in the area.

Game at the INDIE Zone
An interactive zone where visitors can play, experience and watch the next up-and-coming games before they are released. The Indie Arcade, organised by All4Games and Glasgow Caledonian University also lets visitors play great games designed by previous Game Jam winners as well as some BAFTA winning titles.

Enjoy retro games at MEGAbytes Café
MEGAbytes has replicated its café exclusively for Resonate and will recreate the nostalgic factor of the late 80s and early 90s, allowing festival goers to play their favourite games of the past while tucking into a bite to eat.

Take the kids to Resonate Juniors
Children aged 12 and under can enjoy the dedicated Resonate Juniors area designed with 110% Gaming. As an interactive zone, it will let kids ‘live the games’ while they learn tactics, compete and win prizes. From Splatoon, to Plants v Zombies to Lego - it’s all to play for as the kids let loose and explore their favourite characters and challenges.

Meet YouTube and gaming stars
With live interactive shows, Q&A’s and meet-and-greets, visitors will get to pick the brains of experienced and influential gaming stars including Hat Films, Silentc0re, RossBoomSocks, SnakeDoctor, Choochoos Gaming and more.

Shop and play your favourite games
The Resonate Retail and Play Hall will give visitors a chance to play popular games including FIFA16, Star Wars Battle Front, Minecraft, TrackMania, Rocket League and Street Fighter V. The Hall also boasts a wide range of exhibitors and retail stands with all the latest gaming merchandise including accessories, posters, clothing, toys and more!

Advance booking is now available, with ticket pricing ranging from *£15.00 for standard general admission to *£40.00 for a weekend ticket giving you access to the festival every day.

Children under the age of five get free access and there is also an option for group booking for four people.

Opening days and times for the festival are Friday 29 – Sunday 31 May from 10.00am – 6.00pm.
