Bethesda sold to Microsoft for $7.5bn (£5.85bn) Adds games to Xbox PC Game Pass subscription

Xbox owner Microsoft has bought Bethesda, the games company behind blockbuster titles including Doom, Fallout, Skyrim, The Evil Within and Wolfenstein.


Paying $7.5bn (£5.85bn) for ZeniMax Media Bethesda's parent company.

Microsoft have said that the Bethesda's franchise games will be added to its Game Pass subscription package for Xbox and PCs.

Helping to make the new Xbox Series X a lot more attractive than the PlayStation 5.

No new Xbox this year as Microsoft confirm Xbox 720 won't be released in 2012 and no new PS3 say Sony!

Commenting on the report that Microsoft, the Xbox 360 manufacturer will produce its next console to compete with the upcoming Nintendo Wii U, Microsoft’s French Marketing Director Cedrick Delmas has commented that the PlayStation rival will launch “nothing new in 2012.”

Microsoft launch X360 KINECT controller free gaming in the UK

Today see the launch of Microsoft's Kinect, controller free, hardware for their flagship Xbox 360 console. This follows Sony launch of their Move controller system earlier, both trying to cash in on Nintendo's Wii dominance of the tracking control gaming market. Where both Sony and Nintendo require a controller Kinect uses a players movement to control onscreen actions.

KONAMI dates Kinect for Xbox 360 titles

DanceEvolution and CROSSBOARD 7 will be released alongside the motion-sensor technology on Kinect for Xbox 360, at launch on November 10th, while HUDSON SOFT’s Sports Island Freedom title will follow on November 25th.

Microsoft have announced the long awaited arrival of their Nintendo Wii and PlayStation Move busting, controller free Kinect video game system. The price for the Kinect bundle is £299.99 for the 250gb console and the Kinect sensor and Kinect Adventure video game.

Microsoft to sell Xbox 360 in China following ban since 2000 - despite creating $4 billion profit for Chinese exports

China has had a ban on video game consoles since 2000, fear that youths will spend all their time playing games, the government edict in the year 2000 banned the sale of game consoles. It's OK for them to make the consoles or parts for them but there sale is not allowed (legally). Now this may change as Microsoft are working with the Chinese government to allow the sale of their Xbox 360.
