StarCraft: Remastered release date 4K HD Enhanced sound and more

Real-time strategy game StarCraft: Remastered is due out this Summer.

The original StarCraft game plus Brood War expansion are getting a 4K HD overhaul and will be called StarCraft: Remastered.



StarCraft: Remastered will be supported by Blizzard App (formerly Battle.net) so you can easily launch the game from the same PC client you use to play Overwatch and Hearthstone.


Providing players with matchmaking taking their skill and preferred race into consideration.
This will help to streamline finding people to play with online.



The new version of StarCraft will let you zoom in and out in more detail (4K) including some fresh dialogue interludes in the single-player campaign.

Blizzard promise the original balance of the game would be preserved.

The old versions of StarCraft and Brood War will be free to download after patch 1.18 is rolled out at the end of March.
