Mario Tennis Ultra Smash with Online Multiplayer say Nintendo - Wii U

Nintendo have released a press statement detailing more of Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash game modes including...

• Knockout Challenge: Tiebreak matches against increasingly difficult AI opponents.
• Mega Battle: Grabbing a Mega Mushroom increases the size of your character, giving them more power and a better range.
• Classic Tennis: A traditional mode where you can choose whether to allow Chance Shots, Jump Shots and power-ups.
• Online Multiplayer: Go online for Mega Battle, Classic Tennis, or casual matches. Two players on the same console can team up online, or you can use a supported amiibo as a partner.

Colourful Chance Areas will also sporadically appear allowing the player to perform “super-strong smash or bamboozling slices” against their opponent.

Players can use the following controllers in the game: Wii U GamePad, Wii Remote, Wii U Pro Controller or Classic Controller Pro.

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash releases on November 20 for the Wii U. For the first four weeks of its release you will receive a download code for Mario Tennis (N64) on Virtual Console, just for purchasing Ultra Smash.
