Dieselstormers: "Firestorm" Game Update Now Live! - PC Mac WiiU

Whenever fuel-driven Dieselknights go hunting for Orks, things can get dicey pretty fast. This is true now more than ever! Black Forest Games, makers of the award-winning jump’n’run hit Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, have published the first major update for their new multiplayer action game Dieselstormers. "Firestorm" adds plenty of new content to the crowd-funded game. For example a mighty new weapon, the "Elemental Caster", lets players fire great bursts of goop (the Dieselknights’ most wanted magical fuel) to eliminate every single enemy who dared to set foot in the city of Ravensdale.

Also, the weapon modification system has been upgraded to include more options. Players can now modify their weapons to maximize damage, speed or range. Now with more spectacular effects: shrapnel bullets will burst on impact; mines can be scattered around for maximum splash damage. There’s also an engine mod, enabling Dieselknights to literally blow up their targets, which will cause huge explosions, spreading fear among the ugly orkish invaders. Additionally, there’s a new secondary mission type, "Rush", where players try to beat the enemy rockets to the finish for more loot. "Firestorm” brings more dangerous enemies and better loot into the game. A lot of other things have also been optimized, but most changes happened "under the hood" and aim to improve balance and game design.

Background: Hell has broken loose in the little town of Ravensdale. Since the discovery of oil hundreds of humans have been turned into ferocious orcs. Suddenly, machines arise and new forms of magic are possible, as evil monsters ravage the city and enslave the humans, all the while drinking goop – that’s what they call the oil – as if it was beer. Yet a group of brave citizens, the “Resistance”, stands to fight back with oil-fueled armor and weapons, slashing the orcs in bombastic battles and facing unpredictable bosses.

Features: Dieselstormers offers action-packed multiplayer fights in procedural levels (including procedurally generated bosses!) and a highly engaging meta-game, which allows players to create the perfect weapon, choosing from a wide range of possible combinations. Dieselstormers is a flexible multiplayer game. People can play solo, of course, but if a level turns out to be too tricky they can simply invite others and play in local co-op mode or online. The level of difficulty doesn’t change. The chances of succeeding are therefore better when playing with two or three other Dieselknights.
